To be candid, some of these artists I discovered by just pressing the Hip Hop genre. That’s how I expanded my playlist, so I wouldn’t be one of those people still listening to music from 2009.  Some people don’t like to keep an open mind and that’s how you miss out on a lot of cool things.  Old Heads were worried that the new kids weren’t appreciative of their hard work.  With the tracks that were released this year the inspiration could be heard and the newbies with decency acted accordingly. Conscious Rap is finally making its way mainstream, artists are putting music out with messages. I know KRS-One and Ice- T would be proud especially since they’ve been vocal of their disdain before.
